Merry Christmas

I tried to get some cute pictures of all of the kids together for Christmas cards. It didn't work out too well for me!

I've been saving these matching outfits that got an amazing deal on last year, so I ended up sending the pictures with my cards anyway. I'm sure everyone will get a good laugh!

Also,

Only 2.5 weeks until my due date. I am soooo ready! I don't have all the baby things ready yet, but my body is ready not be pregnant anymore. Anyway, while I wait, I have many things to do and to look forward to. . . Christmas, Lenna's birthday party, and my shower. Not to mention I'm planning on teaching one more Classical Conversations class before the big day (4 days before the big day to be exact.) So we'll see if that happens or not. I go tomorrow to see how we're doing. I'm hoping the contractions I've been having are somewhat productive. I'll be sure to update after the appointment! (I've never gone early . . . unless you count 3 days early with Palmer. . . which I don't count as early) I'm still hoping though!

Trouble in Three's

They say trouble comes in 3's, right? Last Friday, I wrecked into a car. An hour later we got the news that Jason's father had just had a massive heart attack. And yesterday, Palmer tripped up the brick steps and knocked his 2 front teeth back. It's been a stressful week before Thanksgiving.
Still, I am SOOO thankful for all that didn't happen. Each situation could have been so much worse. No one was hurt when I backed into the parked car and the family who owns the car is so sweet and understanding. Jason's father was blanketed in prayer and saved. The doctores successfully put in a stint, and he is home for the holidays. And Palmer is okay (although his mouth looks bad and he might lose his teeth.)
I am so happy to know that God is in control as always. And I know we have a LOT to be thankful for this holiday.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Better late than never!

I finally got some pictures of the kids in their costumes. . . then it took about week to get them posted. Life is so busy, it seems impossible to get everything done. Anyway. . . one thing down, one million to go!

Halloween pictures

Brooke and the girls made this cute cake!

Friday was a blast. This was our first Halloween in a "real" neighborhood. We started the day off with a field trip to see some real bats at McDowell park and then had a little family get together before going trick-or-treating with all of the cousins on Jason's side of the family. It was so much fun. Unfortunately, I couldn't my kids to stay still long enough to get any good pictures of them in their costumes -- so tomorrow, I'm going to make them get all dressed up again and pose for me! I did however, get some good pictures of the food :)

Lenna's bows

Lenna was born with a TON of hair and I have been making her wear bows since we brought her home from the hospital. Since she has always had a bow in her hair, she's very used to them. The other night after her bath, we were reading a story and she looks at me and says "bow?" Pointing to her hair, she gets up and starts heading up the stairs. I told her she might need some help getting to the bows and followed her to her room. There she picked out her 1st bow. I put it in her hair, and she says "more." This continued until she had picked out 4 bows. Then she was satisfied. This is the look she ended up with!

Pictures at last!

Well, we are in our new home. I prayed for a fast moved and we got it! I think it was about a month from the time we listed our house on Craig's List until we moved. It was crazy, but well worth it. So, here are some pictures of our new place. We are so thankful to be here. Of course, it will take some time to get everything in its place and get all of my pictures on the walls, but we plan on being here for a while this time :)
Some you may know, we usually move about every 2 years and usually when I'm pregnant!

We have grass now, instead of dirt! That means less time cleaning for me :)

My favorite room -- our school room

What will they come up with next?

This is also considered a smile!

We Have a House!

Praise the Lord -- we found a house! We're very excited and very ready to move. Please pray that everything goes smoothly with the selling of our current home. We're all set to close on this house and our new one on the same day. So the stress levels are high, but at least it will done quickly (we're hoping). We're still working on the closing date, but it should be around the end of this month. So. . . I will probably not be posting very consistently. I'll be busy packing and praying :) But, maybe I will finally get my long awaited new camera and be able to show some pictures one day!

Another Monday!

I can't believe tomorrow is another Monday! Last week flew by and I did not get to post. We are very busy with school and we're in the process of trying to sell our home and purchase a new one. It's very exciting, but stressful. I am thankful that we did not have to show it very many times before we got an offer. It is almost impossible to get a house clean enough to show a potential buyer (much less keep it that way) when you have little ones. But thankfully, and by the grace of God the sale seems to be moving quickly so far. Who knows what lies ahead, but I'm trusting and hoping for good things or at least the ability to handle "not so good" things if they come up. However, It would be nice to have a nursery to put this new baby in (and I think Lenna would appreciate not having to share a room with her big brothers). So. . . we're praying for a quick and painless move :)

It's a . . .

It's a BOY!!!!
Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!
I REALLLLY thought it was a girl. I had my whole family convinced it was a girl. So we were all surprised. Isaiah said I was just going to have to have another one so we could have a girl next time. For now, Lenna is just gonna be outnumbered.

Tomorrow is the big day!

Tommorrow we will finally know if we have a boy or a girl. I thought about being surprised this time, but I just love knowing. Next we can start working on names :) I think having another girl would be so fun, but boys are sweet too. I just pray the baby is healthy and all looks well!
Will definitely post tomorrow.

We're back!!!!

I sort of unintentionally took the Summer off from my blog. I told you it was too warm to blog. Anyway, here's a short recap on what's going on with our family.

Jason got a new job as an assistant principal at Northwestern Highschool -- so Lenna will be sporting a purple and gold cheerleading outfit this Fall :)

Isaiah will be starting Classical Conversation of Fort Mill next week (our supplemental homeschooling program). I will be teaching his class!!!

Palmer gets to do a 3-K program with Classical Conversations, but will no longer be at MMO :(
He's very excited to be homeschooling with us now, though.

Jason and I will be teaching the 3 year old Sunday School class again, but this time we're teaching the 9:00 hour and only every other week. I can't wait to meet our new little ones this Sunday. Plus, Palmer will be in our class :)

And . . . Monday, we will find out if we're having a new sister or a new brother.

By the way, still no new pictures because I STILL don't have a new camera!

Empty Nest Syndrome

I have been sooooo sick for the past 2 weeks. It seems to get worse daily -- and having three ages 5 and under does not help (have I said that before?). I've definitely been having a many pity parties lately and lots of thoughts like "what were we thinking? I've really lost my mind! I'm going to die before this baby is born. ETC." Anyway, this truly is the worst morning sickness I've had.
So . . . my mom volunteered to come get Lenna today and I offered "why not take all of them?" Surprisingly, she accepted the dare and came to pick them up late this afternoon. When I came home to my empty house I was in tears (very normal for me right now.) It feels so strange here without them. I started to feel guilty for lying on the couch all day and not playing with them, for fussing, for losing my patience, etc. I really miss them.
Amazingly, however my sickness has been completely gone for about 2 hours now. It really makes me wonder. I actually cleaned the boys' room, Lenna's room and the kitchen. This is an amazing feat compared to my nonexistent housekeeping over the past week. So, I'm using the extra energy to write on my blog and ask for your prayers that I will feel good enough to get Isaiah's homeschooling finished (I only have 8 lessons left). Please, pray that I will have patience with my precious little ones and remember how amazing they are (when they are actually here, not miles away).
Here comes the nausea. I'm off!!!!

Big News!

Well . . . we're expecting Baby #4! The whole family is VERY excited. Palmer was so excited he told his Mother's Morning Out class. We were planning on keeping it a secret just a little a longer, but that's what we get for asking a 3 year old to keep such a fun secret.
At least now I can openly complain about how horrible I feel. I'm counting down the weeks until this terrible stage is over. However, I was very blessed this week to have both of my sisters-in-law keep my children for me for a few hours. Thank you Emily and Brooke :)
Well, that's about all that's going on around here right now. I'll try to post some pics soon!

I'm actually writing on my blog.
My husband will be home on time tonight.
I get a weekend with my wonderful family!

Since I did not make my biweekly Thakful Thursday post, I'm trying out a Fabulous Friday post instead. Five reasons that make Friday fabulous.

1. Tomorrow is Fort Mill's Spring Fest
2. New kids' games from Target -- Cariboo and The Grouchy Ladybug :)
3. Library books
4. Looking forward to 2 days with my husband at home.
5. Isaiah's tee ball game this weekend

Too Warm to Blog

Okay, now that Spring has sprung, I can't seem to sit in front of the computer for very long. I wan't to be outside in the sun. So this is going to be short. Also, sorry about the tag game. I am the loser (because I didn't play).

Scotty (Don's brother) getting better
God's amazing healing power
Suntans -- Yes, I know it's bad for your skin
A quiet house at bedtime
Dogwoods

Pictures from last week

Sorry my blog is not running in chronological order right now. . . Oh well!
These are pictures of the kids visting with Theron, Cayden, and Hardin. I love the McDonald's playground. Laura and I actually got to talk while they played.
The other pictures were taken in Orangeburg. Lenna wanted to chase the ducks instead of feed them.

Hardin. . . He was the perfect angel during their visit. . . what a precious age!

Pictures by Bridget

These last few days have been really busy, but so fun. Thursday we got to spend the day with the Newsomes (pictures to come) who were visiting from Mississippi :) Friday we went to Orangeburg and hung out with my parents and our niece Allie. Sunday and Monday were spent with Laura and her sweet children and then with Bridget and Allie. Also, we've had Lucy and Don and Daddy home on Monday and Tuesday. So, we've had a full and a very "excited" house! Times like these remind me to hold onto every precious second of childhood, a time when just the smallest things are soooo exciting and fun. Thank you, Bridget for getting these memories on film for me!

100th day of school

We celebrated Isaiah's 100th day of Kindergarten at home today. Palmer wanted a pink cake, like the one in Go Dog Go! We strung 100 Cheerios on string and tried to name 100 animals. Aside from a little toddler bickering, the day was a huge success.

Thankful Thursdays

Yes, I am stealing Amanda's wonderful idea for "Thankful Thursdays."
However, I'm not the diligent blogger that she is, so you probably won't see this every Thursday. But if you DO want to be encouraged every Thursday, check out Amanda's blog.
Today, I am thankful for:
Trees to climb
Beautiful warm weather
Healthy children
A loving husband
Good attitudes in trying times
Friends who listen
Victory Sports' tee ball coming up
Summer quickly approaching
My new Bible (Max Lucado's Devotional Bible)
Sweet toddler kisses

How do I get up there????
